Just Another Week Driving in Wyo

What's up fam! This week has been an interesting one, sit back, grab a glass, and stay a while⛱

This week has been kind Of slow ngl, We've still had a couple of lessons and visits, but we faced ALOT of cancellations, it sucked big time. Nevertheless, we were able to press on and made a lot of progress with some peeps. Helped build a chicken coop, rescued a calf in our suits, and found another Spanish family to teach!😅

We also had a mini zone conference in Cody which was lit!!!! Got to spend some time in civilization with the boiz, get some gear, and hear some inspiring words from President Larsen!

One thing I will say is I really enjoy is the driving here. It may be just a lot of sagebrush, but it is so easy to spot wild horses, deer, pronghorn, eagles, you name it. No traffic to honk at you, just the occasional tractor or cow that takes up the whole road. Lots of time to think and just enjoy life where you are at😁
That's all folks, just trying to party it up in the middle of nowhere🙏

The Greybull mission lives on!

What is up fam! This week has been stellar! Stay tuned for transfer news and some good ole' country shenanigans!!!

Monday we were FINALLY allowed to meet as a district on P-days, so that was a party! Because everyone in our district lives 30+ minutes away, we can only meet twice every 6 weeks, which sucks big time, but we make it work!

We did get transfer news! My old comp (Elder Lee) got transferred up to Laurel Mt! I am staying as AP of the Greybull mission, and I am training! Elder Segler is my son now, and he is from middle of nowhere Nevada! He is fitting right in with the locals. We are going to grind it out this transfer!

I hung out in Cowley Wy with my good friends Elder Wells and Meldrum while we were waiting for my comp, and we had a lot of fun. Fed a bunch of longhorns, roped some steers, ate some GOOD food. Just some good ole fun.

Everything is just dandy out here in the middle of nowhere, until next time mis amigos!

¿ESPANOL?

What is up my people! This week has been flipping fantastic, so stay glued for some big news!

This week starts off with us meeting a family that just recently moved from, Chihuahua Mexico! It definitely hit me hard that I do not know Spanish like I should. We went with one of our 5 ward mission leaders, who luckily is fluent. but it was definitely fun trying to keep up. The lesson went great tho, and they even understood me! Hopefully we will be able to keep meeting with them!

We also met with a dope part member fam that wants to take all of the discussions! They even took us out to the Mexican place in town for breakfast, and the husband has a secret menu item made after him! It is a 14 inch burrito, and it is delicious! Definitely was in a food coma after that!

Also had the Zone Lords blitz our area for a day (where they visit and work in our area, all 4 of us at once) which was lit! We love Elder Turley and Omdahl! Had a couple of food drives (literally getting to know EVERYONE in town) And lots of brownies runs still, staying busy and working hard. Probably the best area I have been in, so much work to be done! Lots of great and loveable people!

That's pretty much it from the Greybull mission! Just taking a deep breath of country air every morning (I don't encourage this, just smells like Angus, good Covid test tho🤫) Just having conversations about Jesus, tractors, or what kind of hotdog you would be if you could choose🤷‍♂️ Fun times out in the Bighorn Basin!!!

Birdwatching for the Lord

What is up peeps! This week has literally been insane! Stay tuned for all of the good news!

We start off our week with a lil' roadtrip down to the thriving city that is Thermopolis Wyoming. We went down for exchanges with the other elders in our district. Went to the hotsprings, bought some hot sauce, and watched some buffalo! Twas good times for sure.

Then on Wednesday we went up to the motherland (Billings) for Zone Conference. Had a dope road trip, met up with some old friends, and got spiritually uplifted. Said goodbye to Elder Shipman and Fonua, got some Panda, and had Zone council in Lovell after. This was a lit day for sure🤑

Then the rest of our days were pretty random, helped the sisters move in Worland, went birdwatching to kill time before a lesson(legit saw like 4 owls) almost hit Racoons, skunks, and pheasants everywhere we go. Had like 7 hours of straight church. Just good times out here in Wyo

And yeah, doing missionary work. Got our first door slam (our mans didn't want brownies😤) just finding and teaching out here. Should have bigs things coming soon🤞 Lots of work to be done in the Greybull mission, we also have transfers next week so stay tuned👀

Where the Deer and the Antelope Play

What is up gamers! This week has been interesting! We've got some tree cutting, brownie delivering, roadtripping shenanigans up ahead⚠️

This week has honestly been a slower one. We have had a couple of mission wide meetings which has slowed Elder Lee and I down a bit:( We had interviews with prez, which pushed a lot of things back. A lot of peeps just cancelled on us as well... We were still able to find some success delivering brownies(honestly the most effective finding tool, take notes friends) and had a couple of lessons, but it just wasn't the same level as other weeks

We did cut down a tree in the freezing Wyoming wind for a couple of hours. Moved some hay around, and saw probably concourses of deer and pronghorns. Couple of roadtrips to Worland. Played with multiple doggos, just gucci times out here in Wyoming...

This next week will be lit as we have zone conference in Billings!!! I will be back in civilization, with its $2 bread and actual restaurants(not just a ghetto A&W here in Greybull) Maybe even a roadtrip to the tropical paradise of Thermopolis on top of that, who knows! Have a gucci week yall💛
