ROADTRIP SZN!!!

What is up gamers! Pday got switched to Tuesday. I didnt forget about ya'll I promise!

We start off the week with a great pday! Got to go to an escape room with da zone and eat with ex-bronco Spencer Larsen! 2 mondays in a row! definitly a good time.

Then on tuesday we had a great final zone conference with president Larson! But wait! We got to go to the other zone conferences across the mission! We got to to through Bozeman and get to Helena for the next one. We even met someone in Bozemen for the Elders to teach! We then drove from Helena to Missoula for the last zone conference. We had to drive in a Tacoma pulling a trailer (just like those Elder Hobbs glory days) to move out an old apartment in Lolo. Those mountain passes were a struggle. We were taking photos for everyone in the mission and meeting with all of the ZL's to go over their social media work and set goals! Definitly worth the trip!

After zone conference we drove down through the bitterroot valley, stopping to eat a naps in Hamilton(really good btw) then crossed the border into Idaho on our way back home😬 We got to drive through some really beautiful parts of Montana! Big hole and the Bitterroot were probably my favorite spots to drive through. We were definitly exhausted after a 12 hour drive😅 It was awesome to drive through some small towns past huge green mountains. Definitly the spot when I'm old and retired!

Then the rest of the week was picking up on the work that we missed lol. This week president Wall shows up so that will be fun! Got a lot of things to ask him! And then another round of zone conferences. Hopefully we can travel again!

Quick Shoutout to RedRobin(c)

Temple Service

This past week was pretty awesome! It is all a blur and I can hardly remember exactly what we did, but it was productive and fun!

We brought some brownies to some families to try and start teaching them, and it was a success! We also have done a little bit of service, at the temple and for some friends we have. Nothing like planting squash and tomatoes in your nice proselyting clothes😳

Elder Johnson made it to Brazil this week, it was sad to see him leave, but he was so excited to go!

Made a few ads this week (what a boring thing to say) I never thought my mission would be me making and running ads, it's basically running a business. Something I have zero experience in, but something I can do. The best trait I have learned is to "remain teachable" If all goes well these ads should lead to referrals and people to teach throughout the mission! Also have been trying to figure out a bunch of stats and what not mission wide, not my forte, but super fun honestly! I love my job so much!

We have Zone conferences this week, and I'm going to be able to travel with the APs! I'm so excited to finally see some gorgeous parts of the mission! It's crazy seeing President Larson go home, a lot of change is coming soon. Just glad I get to be apart of it all!

Every WML in Wyoming

One of da ads!

STAY IN THE CHUTE

I want to reflect on a special experience I had while serving in my last area...
It was a early, foggy day in the foothills of the Bighorns. The sound and smell of cows was palpable in the air. I was excited as a wave of nostalgia rushed over me. Branding Angus was nothing new. I have fond memories as a kid "helping" my grandfather on the family ranch back home, but this time was very different. The excitement faded quickly. This time I was hours away from those comforting corrals in Sanpete. I was on my own. But I was able to see a principle that was set before me that plays out everyday...
The path that these cows take are not far different from our own:
They are sent down the "strait and narrow" to a final destination
For the Black Angus calves, they are not given a choice. They will reach their destination, whether they want to or not. The end is met with burns and pain. Ears are filled with the sound of screams and clashing metal. It is certainly no picnic. Although most calves hesitate down the chute, there are always a few that are very cooperative. They have a perfect knowledge of what awaits them, and they take it like a champ. The end isn't pretty, but they choose to follow.
There is likewise a spiritual "straight and narrow" that we must take.
"and then are ye in this strait and narrow path which leads to eternal life; yea, ye have entered in by the gate;" (2 Nephi 31:18)
The end of this divine demarcation does not end in strangers wielding prods and irons, but the Savior with open arms. Instead of pain and suffering, joy and laughter is to be had. Fear and doubt are replaced by confidence and identity. This is the only direction towards Deity.
But yet, we hesitate!
We know what is at the end, but we give pause. Eternal life with our Father in Heaven is our possible reward, but yet, we reject it.
Many simply never enter in the way due to secondary questions. "These also resist the truth...they shall proceed no further" (2 Timothy 3: 8-9) They witness the gate, and willfully go another way.
Sadly, so many jump out or escape once they are in. If only they realized that one simply cannot turn around without causing immense damage, either to themselves or others.
Those promising calves who in past glided down the chute, loose their confidence and direction in an instance, stopping in the way; even blocking the long line behind them, due to artificial fear. Likewise it is a heavy and bleak moment when we periodically realize we are rebelling ourselves, often unconsciously. Very few inwardly ask "who am I stopping?"
And so, this parable plays out everyday, with everyone. Many willfully choose not to enter in the way. We often forget to keep putting one foot in front of the other.
We all have to make a daily effort to walk down the celestial chute. We can choose to willingly be branded by the identifiable name of Christ, or be lost in the endless foothills of desolation. You are either all in, or all out when it comes to the covenant path!
"I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus" - Philippians 3:14

Back Booling in Billings

What is up gamers!!!! This week has been a wild ride! Stay tuned for the news!

We had transfers as you can probably tell, I am back in Billings in the Sweet Grass Ward! I'm going to run out of areas to serve in😅 I'm now in the social media area with Elder Poulson! He is a straight chiller from Logan. I'm in a trio with Elder Johnson (also a chiller) until Friday as he leaves for Brazil! We are basically the AP's for social media ova the mission which is lit. We have been working on a lot of ads and videos. Making spreadsheets and what not. It has been a good time!

I will miss Greybull a lot! I got to say goodbye to all of my good friends down there. It was a fun and influential 3 transfers. Got to eat some food at the bull pub one last time. Hard to say goodbye to the BEST district!

Billings is so fun to serve in though. We got to do some service at the temple. Actually see other missionaries. Go to the store without being broke. Just good times! Happy to be here! Big things to come!!!

Hope you all have a great week!
