I'm basically Tim Allen

What is up yall! This week has been amazin! We've got Thanksgiving! Home improvement! And some lesson progress!

So this week has been super great! When it comes to missionary work, we had a great lesson with our friend John! He is so close to being baptized! He is such an interesting dude to say the least, but he loves meeting us and he picks up everything really well. We invited him to read from a pamphlet since last time, and he came back to us with 4 pages of notes and questions! Who does that?! Hopefully we keep making some real progress with him!🤞

We had Thanksgiving with the bois! Because we don't really have an area, we didn't have a set meal with anyone. So we made dinner with the other office missionaries and it was hype! We were able to meet together and have a blast. We even made 12 pies to give to the missionaries in Billings! However, because Hobbs and I aren't the best of cooks, no one really wanted the pies. So we 1: Lost all of our fridge space for stupid pies. And 2: ate pies breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We paid the price for our transgressions. It was def a great time, but we were left in the most horrific of food comas.

That's kinda all folks! We had some inspections with the Kalispell zone, ministered, and did all the random office things that were needed from us. We did remodel a non-members kitchen, tore it all up, planned it all out, and started to set everything up. Kinda wish we got paid, lotta work honestly. But she needed the help, she doesn't have the vision. In practice and looks, it would have been bad without us taking over. On the tiers of importance of tasks I have out here, I'd say saving her kitchen myself is right below Baptism.

Hope yall have a great week! I love you all so much!

-"I'm sick and tired of holding this potato!"
-"Do you know where my shoelaces went?"
-"We even buried a bunny, it was so funny!"
-"my tootes could stun an elk!"
-"you little suckers are going to get eaten tomorrow!!!"
-"I'll literally kill Barlow for the pancakes"
-"oh yea, thats the guy that sells dogs out of his lawn mower"
-"all that time at the gym and you can't split 2 roles?"
-"Don't you dare touch my pencil sharpener!"

"Is your stairs work?"

What is good my peeps! This week was definitely a "banger"! We did some things called mountain biking, exchanges, bonfires, and da first baptism?!!

This week has been absolutely fantastic! We have done so much! Luckily we did not get evicted which was awesome! But we have legit been busy. The middle of the week was our first inspections in da mish. So I was able to see Great Falls (over zoom) which was pretty cool. It is really interesting just ministering to the mission, which is a big part of what we do. Just making sure everyone is doing alright and meeting needs. It has been a lot of fun! I love this calling! It leaves a lot of room for creativity and personality. And we still are having lessons👀

On Friday I had exchanges with Elder Shipman! Straight outta Draper! We had so much fun and we taught quite a few lessons! We taught this high school grad who's about to head into the military, and we had an awesome lesson about the BOM on Friday, and Saturday morning he sent us a text saying: "I just had a shower thought, could I be baptized before I leave?" It was so HYPE! Even though it ain't my area, I am pretty dang happy for da kid. We also had 2 more awesome lessons on Saturday, and even spent the morning shooting a mountain biking video! A very productive day from da Eldas!

Anyways! That has been this week! We haven't done anything too crazy honesty. Had a bonfire with a member, a lot of hanging out with da bois, yelling at elders to clean up their fridge, and eating spicy chips with the APs for 10 min, just a lot of fun! Everything is still good in Billings! We are still hanging around 30⁰, but no snow! Hopefully it stays like this for a while, I might rock the sandals for a day!

Quotes of da week:

-"Did you just say crap to Faith Hill?!!!"
-"Is your stairs work?"
-"I set 5 acres on fire once"
-"I didn't know how to say sorry Elder Hobbs, so I bought you some cayenne pepper"
-"Look, we came through the front door, arent you proud of us?!"
-"I would be much more excited if it didn't smell like feet in here"
-"If you don't make creamy mashed potatoes, I'm going to kill you"

Transfer Hype!

What is up gamers! This week has been downright amazing! I have been transferred! So stay tuned for da new adventure!

Okay, these next few weeks are going to be lit. My new companion is the man, the myth, the legend! ELDER HOBBS! Straight outta Logan Utah! We have been straight VIBING these past couple of days. I just finished training(yes 11 months in) and I am a housing inspector now! Here in Billings! So Elder Hobbs and I have the daunting task of seeing every apartment in the mission. and being little errand bois. We will be doing it mostly online(cuz of da snow) but it is going to be lit. We even had a lesson my first day here! So it aint like office missionaries don't teach. We live with some other elders, and the office is super lit so, I am definitely having a good time.

I did have to say goodbye to Elder Hardy, being an admin, our amazing district, and Todd da squirrel. But! I get to say hello to Winco every week! So it ain't all bad. I am really going to miss the people of Laurel tho, they were legit some of the best people I have ever met, and I hope I can visit them soon. I will always remember those first months in a really small, but awesome town.

Not too many crazy things happened this week, transfers was just insane. Elder Hobbs and I have just been making a bunch of silly mistakes, but it is all good. That's how you learn. We finna be the cool uncles of the mission, that is for sure. We saw some dogs on a roof on the way to dinner the other day, not really sure what that is about. We got shot at by an airsoft gun. And we ate dinner with a member family outside, on a metal table, when it was 20⁰(with icecream)! It has just been so much fun. Look forward to these next couple of weeks as much as I am! It finna be a blast!

Quotes of da week:
-"Mmmmmm smells like minions"
-"They drug a massive elk on the kitchen floor, it was such a good night!"
-Elder 1: "Sorry we're late! But yo we got a lesson tomorrow!" Elder 2: "Was that worth disappointing elder Zarecor?"
-"Do you know what happened to our zester?"
-"Can you overwater cashews?"
-"You got dogs on your ruff"
-Elder 1:"Hey elder, what are you doing tomorrow" Elder 2:"wearing kakis"
-"Welcome to our romantic dinner, Elder Hobbs is presiding, I will be conducting"

Moose on Da Loose

What is up gamers! This week on da email, we've got exchanges, bearable weather, and the last week of da transfer! So stay tuned! Be there or be square if ya know what I mean!

This week has been a bit of a blur if I am going to be completely honest with yall rn. We are still just planning! But we are going to have something dope on the story all day Tuesday, so watch! Wednesday we had an amazing district council! It was likely the last one we would have with our super dope district, so it was definitely, "aight"
Friday was exchanges with elder Wright outta mount Olympus. It was super fun! We got to have a bois day and get some sick stuff done. 100% a chiller, hit him up with all of your graphic design needs! Since then has just been a bunch of meetings! We did get one investigator to church this week, and we got a referral that already wants to be baptized. So lets hope I don't screw nothing up! We have transfers this week, so we shall see if I stay or go!

Rando thing dis week: We got hit by a nice little storm yesterday. Back down to 10⁰, but! It revealed a new friend! We did see our squirrel friend Todd this past week with the 50⁰ weather, struggling to provide for his 3 shawties. But the snow has shown us some tracks of a moose friend that came up to our door. In essence, Todd is being replaced. It is sad I know, but our new friend just has a lot more benifits as it pertains to us. There is nothing more comforting, during these scary times, than riding a moose(other than the gospel, naturally). But that is just my opinion, you are free to disagree. I just could not do that with Todd, it is not possible. A moose will actually DO something when it gets cold, and can provide needed protection against angry white people so, Todd has been caught lackin'.

So! Respond with some tips for taming a moose! And name ideas!

Quotes of da week:

-Guilt trip her into the font
-Put her in a spiritual full nelson
-Nerf areabook!
-Is it okay if I wear my slipply slides?
-I believe as it is written in the scriptures, pop it? Lock it? Pocka dot it?
-We planked over a breakout room, thats what up my brother!
-I jumped out of Barbara's barn, like 2 stories!
-Should we call secretaries next transfer?

10 Months...Technically

Before I get into anything that happened this week, I want to make it know that it is my mother, Dona E Barlow, BIRTHDAY TODAY! Make sure ya'll send her a nice message! I'm counting on it!

Call or Text: 801-319-0635
FB: Dona Barlow
(You can find her at UVU 9-5, and then at home from 5-10 playing Call of Duty on MY Xbox)

So this week has been, well, BUSY. I have not had time to even think about thinking, I think. We started off this week with Zone Conference, and since every missionary ever hypes up zone conference in their emails, I won't talk about it too much. It was awesome to hear President and Sister Larsen talk about putting Gods will first! That is all we have to do in this life! It is really that simple! Need I say more? Zone conference also brought a nice little "detour" to Winco, which is the celestial kingdom of grocery chains for missionaries here. So that was the cherry on top to a very great day.

Other than that, we have just been planning planning planning. I feel like an office worker honestly. I find my days spent in google sheets, adobe premier, and drive. I have made an entire area book for Billings. My countenance shines "logistics" wherever I go. I have a snazzy pair of wireframe glasses, that make me look smart, but I still have no idea what I am doing. We have had literally ZERO spare time, so many lessons, meetings, planning, planning, planning, and more planning. I'm alive still! So that is what counts! If ya couldn't tell, I am busy!

Haven't really had time to do any crazy shenanigans or get in trouble this week sadly. Idk, I ate some straight white trash shepherds pie(hope that aint too rude lol) It definitely shook my testimony, just was not good. Love that member family, they're just talented in other ways. My Duolingo broke, so what little Spanish I had is going straight down the drain. Oh yea, it was Halloween, which is technically my 10 month mark since leaving for Mexico...totally forget, kinda was just a normal day. Maybe I am a buzzkill but, going door to door for candy is childish and primitive. We do it for a more dignified and eternal purpose lol. It actually warmed up here! Finna be 50-60⁰s this week! Then it is going to snow and drop down to single digits again. But until then, we might see our old pal Todd da squirrel again before the next Ice age, wear something other than muck boots, and maybe open a window in our apartment! Hope ya'll have a great week! Message Dona!

Quotes of da week:

Dem leaves!
Is that a pigeotto?
I never wanna have a Wednesday again...
Lets get this in our tummies ASAP

Some more sunset pics(guess which one is from our local lake crispy)
