"You look like a leper..."

Yip Yip Chahoo this week was a whole lot better than I anticipated!! So sit back and relax cuz this week has got some SaUcE!!

Because Billings has been blessed with good weather recently, we have done a couple of things outside, even halfway through January! Went on a hike or 2, did some outdoor service, and just enjoyed not driving on ice! We were able to do some service at the food bank here in town and got to know some non-members🤞 We even got invited to go rock climbing!(too bad we can't do that as missionaries😖) Just had some mad member lessons, went to Ole' Dennys for the birthday(thank you to all who made that day so special!) And almost got put in quarantine💯💯

Other than that, haven't been up to much, just a lot of finding on Facebook! Lots of conversations about Knives, Eagles, Tractors, and Moose! Hopefully all of these convos will turn into gospel conversations somehow. My goal as a missionary is to baptize someone from a conversation that started about minecraft or about moose🤷‍♂️ Not the typical missionary experiences of days past. We're making some steady progress haha! Any advice is greatly appreciated!

Just know that Elda B is enjoying the nice weather and nice people! Hope yall are having a blast and a half! Don't have too much fun without me! Until next time goobers!

"When did Shabbat become theater?"

What is good gamers, it's ya boi again. This week has been pretty gosh dang slow to be honest. Sorry to disappoint yall😔

We have just had some members lessons and service, nothing tooooooo crazy. Had a nice lil baptism for a family in the ward, went to a piano recital, and played some pickleball. Just going to be honest, this transfer will be a slower one for sure, If there is a time to take a break from my broken English and out of context nonsense, it's these next few weeks. Nevertheless we finna try to keep the hype! The marathon continues!

Something I will share are my thoughts from this past year. Usually I don't share thoughts like this in emails because if you want to feel the spirit, go to scriptures, Apostles, Prophets, and the Lord. Not some kid who hardly can drive. But seeing that it kinda is my job I will allow it. This past year has been interesting to say the least(wow Elder Barlow you might be the first person to realize that haha), certainly if you know my mission situation you would agree. Sufficient to say this year has been "crappy" in most instances. However this year has been extremely influential, for me, and for the presumably few reading this. This past year has parted the fog that clouded my eyes, and has coerced me to realize for myself how little I know about our Savior. I have wrestled to wear His name, and fought to have a sliver of a witness, and yet my knowledge and understanding of Him is minuscule. He is the Redeemer of mankind. His works and wonders are unmatched. No one has, is, or ever will be like Him! This year has shown me that He is always there, and that WE are the ones that stray away from His distinctive footsteps. Nothing concerning Christ changed due to worldy circumstance. The fact that I had to change due to the times really tells where I stood in relation to Him. For most, if not all of us, we weren't standing close enough. I am so grateful for the past, and for the distant horizon it points us to. For the privilege to make mistakes and lean on the Atonement for assistance and advancement. And for my Savior, Jesus Christ. This imperfect tongue cannot describe the wonder and love I have for Him. He truly is the Light of the World. The Prince of Peace. Certainly, He restoreth, our souls!

If we remember a single principal to take and cherish from this year. I pray it is the fact that Christ will never stay His affection and guidance, and it is our job alone to claim it!

"We declare that he is the Son of God, and the reality of that fact should stir our souls more frequently." -Howard W Hunter

Love yall! Hope yall weren't taken too offguard from the switchup! This ain't our regular scheduled program haha! Have a baller week!

Trunky for Treasure Planet

What is up crafters! This week has been pretty litty! We've got some service👀 ChRisTmAs, and district shenanigans! But wait! There's more!!!

This week has been pretty chill honestly. It is hard to do certain types of missionary work with it being Christmas week. So we got a little creative. We ended up delivering cookies for about 40 non-members with our district, and well, that was quite the blast! Billings wasn't expecting a bunch of Christians whiping it around town in the mission bus, but it is what they got🤷‍♂️ It is quite the scene having 10 teenage boys role up on you with a plate of cookies and proceed to sing hymns. Christmas was a special one with that and no snow😡 We luckily had some dope members take us in for Christmas and we had a blast! I was gifted a harmonica! Won a game of ping pong! And did some axe throwing(I see now why that is such a popular date idea) overall my favorite Christmas on the mish, this will be hard to top lol

We also got some awesome service in with a BUNCH of non-members. Working at food banks and the salvation army is high-key lit. Everyone should do it once a week. It is my happy place after the Temple and Dennys. Nothing beats meeting a bunch of people and doing service. We also just have been grinding in our ward. It's hard teaching here cuz everyone is rich and stuck up, but we finna make it work. We've got some promising leads so pray for us to not screw things up!

It has just been a dope Christmas week, our water heater literally almost exploded, it was ripping at the seems. Had a pickleball competition(I got 3rd outta 4😤) and I fixed a table, find a missionary that had a more productive week than me, you can't, you just can't🤷‍♂️

But yea, that was this week! Let me know how yalls Christmas went! I want to know!

Transfer News! And No White Christmas? In Montana?

Da BOiZ

What is up my gamers! This week has been quite the ride. We got some spicy transfer news concernin ya boi so keep up!

This week has mostly been transfers. Our mission doubled in Assistants to the president(meaning they have no idea what they are doing) and so Elder Hobbs and I were basically training them with our experience of the office/mission. I considered myself the assistant to the assistant(Elder Hobbs) to the assistants(the AP's) to the president(president) It was pretty lit being an AP for a couple of days. Stayed up figuring out transfers and all of that jazz. Helped all the departing and arriving missionaries as well. We just did everything, the mission would crumble without my help lol

Trainin da new AP's

I did get transferred! I am just moving districts! Just down the street! It was super sad saying goodbye to Elda Hobbs, but he is my ZL now! President just straight up got rid of our callings, so he will have to shovel his driveway HIMSELF. I am now training! My son is Elder Burnett and he has been out 1 month and he is a straight chiller. We are in the Echo Canyon ward and it is RICH. There is a $13 mil dollar mansion in our area! Quite the area to arrive at during chirstmas season. This next transfer is going to be hype and I am so excited to have an area again.

We have just done some random things. Had zone conference. Went to Buffalo Wild Wings. Elder Hobbs lost his phone and it got ran over. Got 2 hours of sleep. Most of the snow has melted alreary. Just a bunch of fun tingz.

We on the downhill baby!

What is up gamers! This week has been pretty dang good! We've got some pretty hype adventures so pay attention!

We had departures this week so most of our focus was on that. We got to help all of the trunky missionaries leave da mish. Because it snowed this week (hype hype) We spend a ton of time plowing the mission office and some non members driveways. We also did some more inspections. Got to have a nice little road trip to Roundup, about an hour north of Billings. Probably one of the prettiest places around here. It is always super nice being able to move around and see the mission, helps us to not feel like we're quarantined.

We had ANOTHER lesson with John! We are going too slow for him it seems like. He did finally agree to come to church with us next week! He bought church clothes and everything! We are gonna sneak him through the back door so he doesn't have to talk to anyone. Our job is to make sure members DON'T talk to him which is quite backwards from the normal

Other than that this week has been pretty lit. We went hunting for homeless people in order to bring them gifts. Had some fire dinners with some fire members. And put some good miles on the ol' Tacoma. Kinda a slower week if I'm being honest. This next week is transfers which should spice things up. Also, I officially have less than a year left for when I get back! Time flies!

-"You just lost 300 miles for backtalking me"
-"sleeping in a giant lasagna sounds kinda comfortable rn"
-"next time we see president we will have man buns"
-"I did not ask for multiple squirrel finger puppets"
-"I have 2 twins! Ones five and ones six!"
-"I made a tiwi card!"
-"Sisters! Get in here! We're having a cult meeting!"
-"Eat now or I'll beat you"
-"I have 2 3D donut charts now"
-"yea but I look pimp"

The Goofy Movie

What is up gang! This week has been quite the adventure! Stay tuned for roadtrips! The Temple! And a bunch of planning!

So we start off the week with a roadtrip all the way to Dillon MT! For those that don't know, Dillon is about an hour south from Butte, so 4 hours from Billings. We drove through Bozeman(with its golden sidewalks) and many small towns. We had to help some missionaries move into a new apartment, so we were lucky enough to spend the day on the road, listening to some fire talks. It was such a pretty drive and Montana is so cool! So many empty valleys surrounded by beautiful mountains! Lots of bald eagles and deer! We also had to pick up an Elder from Missoula who was heading to Germany. We brought him with us on our way back and so we were a lit trio until he left! We made sure to take him to all the best spots, such a panda and Dennys! It was a spicy time for sure!

We just did random stuff the rest of the week, some chores and errands. We are making a bunch of spread sheets about the ward (We're basically the NSA) Everything is going to be figured out and in one place for us and for the future of the area. We did have another lesson with our friend John! Talked about some of the commandments with him. We are getting him to start thinking about baptism! Soon peeps! Soon!

We also got to go through the Temple with a recent convert! It was so amazing! It is weird going through with Covid19 rules. But it was so great being able to go through again. The Billings Temple is really really cool! Definitely worth the trip! The last time I went through was in Mexico, so not having Spanish and escalators(The Mexico City temple has like 8) was really diff!

That's kinda it folks, all good up here in good ol' Billings. Still hasn't snowed in a while, maybe we won't get a white Christmas🤷‍♂️ I hope everyone has a great week and stays as warm as me!
